Human Support Services
In the 50 years since its founding, Human Support Services (HSS) has played a key role in strengthening the community through our comprehensive behavioral healthcare services. What started out in 1973 with a staff of three has grown into a premiere organization employing over 100 people, featuring 14 multi-residence buildings and a variety of programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, outpatient mental health services, substance use programs, employment supports and 24/7 crisis response to the community. In addition, HSS counselors are housed in many local schools to support the ever growing demand for youth mental health services. Lastly, they are most proud of our continuing partnership with local law enforcement assisting them with the tools they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. The HSS staff remains committed to their mission of “Helping All People Live Their Best Lives.”
